The law of attraction is all about finding what we focus our attention on. It is logical that we attract to us what we look for, because our perceptual filters will be set towards those things we focus on. In spiritual work, it can apply to the quality of helpers we attract from spirit. Those with a desire to help others will attract those from spirit with the same desire.
It can also apply to the things we want and the way we want life to be. If you spend all your time thinking about what you don’t want to happen, you can actually attract that thing to you, because your perceptual filters will seek out those things that you focus on. So it is much more helpful when you find yourself focusing on what you fear, to turn it round to focus on what you want instead. For example, if you want a promotion at work, focus on getting it, not on failing to get it.
The same principle works for finding friends and partners. If you have had relationships in the past that have not worked out well, put aside any thoughts of repeating unwanted patterns and work out what you really want from the friendship/relationship. When you know what you are looking for, your perceptual filters are tuned to those things, so you will automatically seek them out.
The law of attraction is like attracts like and what you look for you will find.
